    Select Physical Therapy Takes Sports Performance to the Next Level with Director of Sports Performance, Judy Seto

    Los Angeles, CA: Select Physical Therapy is pleased to announce the promotion of Judy Seto, P.T., DPT, OCS, SCS, MBA, CSCS, as the newly appointed director of sports performance. With the addition of Dr. Seto, Select Physical Therapy will incorporate evidence-based practice with clinical experience and sports science technology to help maximize performance, reduce injury risk and bridge the gap between rehabilitation and return-to-sport for athletes in the greater Los Angeles area.

    Judy brings a wealth of clinical knowledge in the field of physical therapy and sports medicine to Select Physical Therapy. She earned dual degrees in kinesiology and psychology from UCLA, a master’s degree in physical therapy from Stanford University, board certification as a clinical specialist in both orthopedics and sports, a master’s degree in business administration from Troy State University in Alabama, certification as a strength and conditioning specialist, and a doctorate degree in physical therapy from Temple University,. Currently, Judy is completing her master’s degree in high performance sport from Australian Catholic University in Melbourne, Australia.

    In addition to her many notable degrees and certifications, Judy brings years of experience and unparalleled expertise to her role as director of sports performance. Judy has worked for the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic where she specialized in orthopaedic and sports medicine injuries of athletes of all levels, from the weekend warrior to collegiate, Olympic, international and professional, including the NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS and NFL. She also worked for HealthSouth where she served as administrator of the Los Angeles office and then regional clinical coordinator for California, Oregon and Washington. In 2007, Judy joined Select Physical Therapy as senior physical therapist. After accepting a full-time position as head physical therapist for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2011, Judy enjoyed a consultation and clinical education role with Select Physical Therapy.

    Judy has now returned to Select Physical Therapy full-time and will help to oversee clinical mentoring, research development and clinician professional development outside of her day-to-day duties.

Judy’s involvement will not only help to further expand our sports medicine expertise in the Los Angeles community, but more importantly benefit our patients in their treatment plans.”
