    Specialty services:

Dry needling (DN), also known as intramuscular manual therapy/trigger point dry needling, is a procedure in which filiform needles are used to deactivate myofascial trigger points. It is NOT acupuncture. DN allows muscle spasms to relax and inhibits pain at a local and systemic level. Patients typically report immediate pain relief that can last a few hours to a few weeks to allow for restoration of normal muscle function.

We also offer muscle activation technique at our River City location. Our center is one of three locations to offer this in all of Iowa and Nebraska.

Muscle activation technique is a specific and unique process for evaluating an individual’s ability to produce efficient muscle contraction. Loss of muscle contraction results in a decreased range of motion, and therefore decreased physical performance. Range of motion testing can indicate which muscles have decreased contractibility and precise forces are applied to restore that muscle’s efficiency.

We also offers Post-Offer Employment Testing, which focuses on selecting the right person for the job. It is important to recognize that the earliest opportunity to affect future claim costs is during the employment application.
