    Prosthetics and Orthotics

At NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics, we provide the highest quality of care and customized prosthetics and orthotics to enable you to overcome challenges and live your best life.

Clinicians with years of experience and specialized training provide our services. We pride ourselves on providing the most advanced systems available.

Lower Extremity Prosthesis – We are devoted to meeting the needs of all levels of amputation. Our prosthetists provide unique socket designs that incorporate your anatomical contours, allowing you the comfort and control you need to return to an active lifestyle and activities of daily living.

Upper Extremity Prosthesis – Giving you the highest degree of function, comfort and a real look and feel is our goal. We are committed to keeping you informed of the newest technologies and products available to help you reach your goals.

Orthotics – Our practitioners work with your physical rehabilitation team to provide the device that maximizes your potential. We utilize lightweight thermoplastics and carbon fiber designs that offer durability and comfort.

As technology is integrated, orthotics continues to improve. We provide traditional and progressive orthotic management to meet your individual needs. Our custom fabrication techniques employ carbon graphite and high-strength alloys to allow your orthotic device to withstand rugged use without common slippage problems.

We accept most major insurances and will obtain any necessary prior authorizations. Our team will work with you and your insurance company to estimate the cost of your device and inform you of any up-front charges that may be your responsibility, allowing you to make the best decision for your needs. Contact us today for a complimentary consultation.

    Cranial Helmets

If you are concerned your child’s head is misshapen and repositioning is not improving head shape, it is important to talk to your pediatrician to identify any underlying causes. They may refer you to a craniofacial specialist, neurologist, physical therapist or an orthotist to gather more information about your child’s condition.

At NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics, our clinicians will provide your child with individualized quality care. Our experienced practitioners use the Starband®, which allows us to successfully complete treatment for nearly all plagiocephaly patients with a single Starband® device, as compared to other providers who may suggest the use of multiple helmets to get full correction.

Contact us today to learn more about our services and how we can help your child.

    Amputation Rehabilitation Program

According to the American Amputee Coalition, approximately 185,000 individuals in the United States experience limb loss. This leads to a challenging period of physical recovery and complex psychological, emotional and social issues.

At NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics, our amputee rehabilitation program is unique – we are the only organization that incorporates the prosthetists and physical/occupational therapy team under the same umbrella.

This advantage allows us to holistically focus on individuals recovering from upper and lower extremity amputation. Amputees who complete our program exhibit increased functional independence and overall well-being.

Our team of prosthetists and physical and occupational therapists work cohesively to evaluate and develop an individualized treatment plan. Certified/Licensed prosthetists utilize advanced technology and techniques throughout the fitting process to provide the patient with a prosthesis that will assist them in achieving their unique goals. Based on the prosthetic needs, a licensed physical or occupational therapist will design an individualized treatment plan that includes strengthening, balance activities, prosthetic gait training and much more.

The ultimate goal is to help each patient achieve individual goals and their highest level of function. Treatment may include:

    • Mobility and self-care
    • Residual limb care
    • Reducing phantom sensations/pain
    • Prosthetic fitting and management
    • Gait training and falls prevention
    • Pre- and post-operative care
