Our Team

Andrew Cheit, P.T., DPT

Originally from Davis, CA, Andrew spent a year with NovaCare Rehabilitation (a division of Select Medical) in Philadelphia before moving back home to the Sacramento area in October 2020 to open Select Physical Therapy-Elk Grove. A college soccer player and lifelong athlete, Andrew pursued a career in physical therapy following his own history of injuries and physical rehabilitation. Andrew is skilled at treating a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, sports and work-related injuries, as well as concussions, vestibular and balance disorders. Andrew is also passionate about community service and providing therapy services to uninsured and underinsured patients, volunteering regularly via tele-rehab as a clinic mentor at his alma mater Temple University's student run pro-bono physical therapy clinic, the North Broad Physical Therapy Center.

Kylie Puggi, MOT, OTR/L

Originally from New Jersey, Kylie moved to California to share her hand therapy knowledge and skills with the west coast. She strives to exceed patient expectations by providing a standard of care above and beyond the traditional practice. She has notable success in the evaluation and treatment of post-stroke impairments, carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures, tendinopathies, arthritis, digit amputations, tendon repairs and peripheral nerve injuries. Kylie believes in building relationships with all patients in order to foster a fun and comforting healing environment. She enjoys being creative and fabricating individualized treatment programs for patients in order to address deficits and help reach their maximal functional ability. Her competence and enthusiasm is evidenced each day in the compassionate care she provides.

Minica Cheng, MPT, OCS

Minica injured her knee in high school and credits her physical therapist with providing both the expertise to return her to running and for inspiring her career path. Minica brings an extensive background working in outpatient and home health settings in the Bay Area and Sacramento, before joining Select Physical Therapy in 2021. Minica strives to be an active listener and to be compassionate towards her patients. Her goal is to provide patients the knowledge and skills to manage their condition for improved activity and overall health. In addition to English, Minica speaks Cantonese. She continues to enjoy running and also likes to spend time hiking, traveling and sports spectating.

Matthew Cabalona, PTA

Hailing from Roseville, CA and growing up in a bilingual household (English and Illocano/Tagalog), Matt grew up playing basketball, soccer and rugby. He practiced martial arts until he was injured playing rugby. The physical therapist who helped him demonstrate the power of physical therapy, but it was watching his grandparents slowly deteriorate that flicked the switch, and he realized the role physical therapy has in aging, longevity and physical abilities. Matt is passionate about educating his patients on how to rebuild themselves using exercise, flexibility and mobility training to address aches, pains and functional deficits. A certified personal trainer, he brings his experiences from the gym into the clinical practice by incorporating strength, conditioning and nutrition into his approach. Matt enjoys food, bodybuilding, gaming , playing with his dogs, spending quality with with friends and family and his new passion - gardening.
