Our Team

Kristin Aoalin, Center Manager, P.T., DPT

Kristina earned a master's degree in physical therapy in 2005 from Fresno State University. She has worked with Select Physical Therapy since 2006. She has completed a variety of continuing education including instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, Mulligan technique, concussion, Stott Pilates and manual therapy skills. She focuses on individual patient problems to achieve specific goals. She enjoys the outdoors including hiking, fishing, swimming, skiing and biking.

Kayla Ann Yu, CHT, OTD, OTR/L

Kayla was raised in the sunny state of Arizona and received a doctorate of occupational therapy at Northern Arizona University in 2018. Kayla has worked extensively in the field of hand therapy as a certified hand therapist. She possesses a strong knowledge base in treating all hand and upper extremity conditions. Kayla is committed to ongoing professional development and stays informed with the latest research in the field of hand therapy. Her goal is to use evidenced-based practice to provide the best possible care for patients. Kayla has a strong passion for helping others regain function and independence in their daily lives. Kayla's approach to recovery is to empower individuals based on strengths, resources and inherent values. She enjoys treating all upper extremity conditions and strives to provide individualized, patient-centered care. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, traveling and exercising.

Mitalee Choubal , P.T., DPT

Mitalee graduated from Loma Linda University, California with a doctorate of physical therapy after completing a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from India. She practiced in the states of New York and Texas before finally calling the Bay Area home. She has a strong passion for orthopedic physical therapy with more than nine years of experience in treating patients with orthopedic injuries, joint replacements, post-operative surgeries and geriatrics care. Mitalee believes that movement is a science that can improve and mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of a person. She loves to integrate Pilates principles into treatment plans by putting emphasis on core activation with spine and pelvic alignment which helps in good ergonomics and injury prevention. Mitalee enjoys Pilates workouts, meditations, canvas painting, experimenting in the kitchen, exploring the outdoors and being with family and friends.

Marie Draxton, PTA, ATC

Marie is a physical therapy assistant, certified athletic trainer and massage therapist for the past 32 years. She has completed a clinical career ladder specializing in orthopedic and sport medicine injuries, especially post- operative shoulders and knee injuries. She obtained certification as an instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization practitioner. Marie enjoys spending time with family and friends on the water house boating, waterskiing and attending F45 workouts.

Raquel Lopez, PTA

Raquel grew up in Monterey County, moved to northern California and then southern California to pursue an education. She ultimately moved to Santa Clara to be closer to family. She received a bachelor's degree in exercise biology from University of California, Davis and associate degree in physical therapist assistant from San Diego Mesa College. She enjoys working with patients' focused on shoulders and returning to individuals' to their sport activities. She enjoys hiking, dancing and supporting local sports teams.
