During this time, we are keenly focused on your safety while helping you feel better. Our center is open and here to serve those in need. The Department of Homeland Security and state governments have deemed physical therapy an essential component of health care during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Select Physical Therapy's highly trained staff will design a specialized plan of care that is just right for you. Sports Medicine: We provide sport rehabilitation services for multiple local high schools and universities, both onsite and in our center. The goal of our physical therapists and athletic trainers is to return injured athletes to their optimal performance level in whichever sport they participate.

Industrial: We are focused on returning injured workers back to their place of employment in a timely and safe manner. We will provide highly focused functional rehabilitation programs that ensure ideal return-to-work status. We also provide screening procedures designed to ensure safety in the workplace.

Our Team

Cory Patterson, MSPT, MBA, CSCS

Cory is a physical therapist and market manager for Select Physical Therapy’s central and southwestern Connecticut market. He graduated from the University of Hartford in 2005 with a master's degree in physical therapy. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with special interests in rehabilitation of various musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder and knee. Cory also has a master's degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota.

Hannah Runyon, P.T.

Hannah is a physical therapist for Select Physical Therapy’s Bristol office. She earned a bachelor's degree in health sciences in 2015 and doctorate in physical therapy in 2017 from Nazareth College. Hannah enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including the spine, acute athletic injuries and post-operative rehabilitation, as well as individuals with post-concussion syndrome. She is certified in trigger point dry needling and trained in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and cupping.

Amber Schulde, MSPT, CHT

Amber is a physical therapist and certified hand therapist for Select Physical Therapy’s Bristol, CT center. She graduated from Sacred Heart University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in physical therapy. Amber has certification in treating upper extremity and complex hand injuries and also has extensive experience treating all musculoskeletal conditions.

Sarah Maffucci, MSPT

Sarah has been a physical therapist since 2007. She graduated from Springfield College with a master's degree in physical therapy. She enjoys working with post-operative knees and shoulders. Currently, Sarah is certified in the Graston Technique and is a certified dry needling specialist.

Chris Carriere, ATC, LAT, CSCS

Chris is an athletic trainer at Select Physical Therapy in Bristol and serves Bristol Central High School. He graduated from Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training as well as Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. In addition to working as an athletic trainer, he is also a health teacher at Bristol Central High School. Chris has a special interest in nutrition, strength and conditioning, stress management and wellness programs for the student athlete.

Jared Yager, ATC/LAT, EMT-B

Jared Yager is the head athletic trainer for Bristol Eastern High School, working out of the Bristol center for the past seven years. Jared graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine from Central Connecticut State University. Prior to working for Select Physical Therapy, he was an EMT for four years, working on an ambulance for a privately owned company. He is interested in building relationships with and growing Select Physical Therapy as a company within the military, law enforcement and first responder agencies. Being able to make connections and providing high quality care to both athletes and high level agencies is both a passion and honor to be apart of.

Alyssa Romano, P.T.

Alyssa has been a physical therapist since 2017. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and 2017 with a doctorate in physical therapy. Her professional interests include pediatrics and performance arts rehabilitation, especially with dancers. In her spare time, Alyssa teaches dance for both recreational and competitive dancers. She has certification in trigger point dry needling and is trained in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and cupping.

Adam Romano, ATC

Adam is the head athletic trainer for Terryville High School, working out of the Bristol Select Physical Therapy office. Adam graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine, and was a licensed EMT and worked with both high school and collegiate athletes during his education. His professional focus is providing the best possible care to both high school athletes and intermediate to high level dancers.

Nicholas Martin, P.T.

Nick has been a physical therapist for Select Physical Therapy in Bristol since 2017. He graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with a doctorate in physical therapy. His special interests include sports rehabilitation, Graston manual therapy and shoulder treatment.

Megan Hastie, P.T.

Megan is a physical therapist for Select Physical Therapy's Bristol, CT office. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2013 with a doctorate in physical therapy. Megan is an LSVT certified clinician and is extensively trained in various manual techniques. She has experience treating all musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
