The Department of Homeland Security and state governments have deemed physical therapy an essential component of health care during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Select Physical Therapy's highly trained staff will design a specialized plan of care that is just right for you. Sports Medicine: We provide sport rehabilitation services for multiple local high schools and universities, both onsite and in our center. The goal of our physical therapists and athletic trainers is to return injured athletes to their optimal performance level in whichever sport they participate.

Industrial: We are focused on returning injured workers back to their place of employment in a timely and safe manner. We will provide highly focused functional rehabilitation programs that ensure ideal return-to-work status. We also provide screening procedures designed to ensure safety in the workplace.

Our Team

Ron Ogrodowicz, MPT, CHT, OCS, ATC, LAT, CSCS

Ron is the center manager, physical therapist, certified hand therapist and athletic trainer for Select Physical Therapy's Stratford center. He has achieved success in the treatment of orthopaedic injuries, sports-related injuries, vestibular disorders and work-related injuries. Ron earned a bachelor's degree in sports medicine in 1996 from Catawba College, a bachelor's degree in health and science studies in 2001 and a master of physical therapy degree in 2003 from Quinnipiac University. He holds specialist certification in orthopaedics, and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Prior to coming to Select, he served as the assistant athletic director and head athletic trainer from 1997-2004 at Quinnipiac University.

Jason Grimes, P.T., DPT, PhD, ATC

Jason is a graduate of Bunnell High School in Stratford. He attended Quinnipiac University where he earned his masters in physical therapy in 2004. He then earned his doctorate of physical therapy and PhD from Nova Southeastern University in 2017. He has been board-certified as an orthopaedic clinical specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties since 2007. Jay is a clinical associate professor in the physical therapy program at Sacred Heart University, where his teaching responsibilities are focused in the area of introductory and advanced musculoskeletal examination. He also serves as a mentor, faculty member, and director for the orthopaedic physical therapy residency program. Jay has been in clinical practice working with orthopaedic and sports populations since 2004 and has been treating patients part-time with Select Physical Therapy since 2018.

Julliana Tapia , ATC

Julliana Tapia is the head athletic trainer at Stratford High School. She is a graduate from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She received her national athletic training board of certification in March. During her studies, she was the provider of healthcare for various Division I elite athletes. Her main responsibility was the SHU women's basketball team as well as working closely with the women's rowing team. She also had two years of clinical exposure to high schools within Fairfield county.
