Our Team

Lexi Hoopes, P.T., DPT

Lexi is a dedicated physical therapist originally from the Greater Philadelphia area. Her professional journey began at Penn State University, where she studied kinesiology. She not only excelled academically but also as an enthusiastic member of the cheer team. Lexi also made significant contributions to childhood cancer research fundraising, particularly through THON, which showcased her compassionate spirit. Her experience as a personal trainer enriched her understanding of the human body and its capabilities. Advancing her expertise, Lexi attended the University of Delaware where she completed her doctorate of physical therapy. Today, Lexi brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for healing to her practice, specializing in a diverse range of patient care areas including neurological conditions, sports injuries, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Her dedication to patient well-being makes her a standout in her field.

Mike Burnard, P.T., MPT

Mike originally hails from Bermuda. He and his family moved to Florida when he was 10. Upon graduating from high school, Michael chose to stand on yellow footprints at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Afterward, he graduated from the University of Florida with a master's degree in physical therapy in 2001 and has treated orthopedic injuries in the Bay Area since. Joint preservation to facilitate aging well is the focus of Michael's treatments.

Austin Baker, PTA

Austin graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) in 2023 and moved to the area at the beginning of 2024. While at FSCJ studying exercise, playing sports and having injuries of his own, he found his passion for physical therapy and helping others reach their goals. He is an integral part of the Seminole team and ensures the best care for patients.

Jimmy Sebesta

During a ride, cycling enthusiast and Ironman triathlete Jimmy Sebesta was unexpectedly hit by a car. Jimmy broke two kneecaps, and his legs were placed in straight-leg knee braces locked in extension for six weeks to give the bones a chance to heal. Jimmy worked with Physical Therapist Lexi Hoopes who developed a custom treatment program to address his goals to get back to his outdoor adventures. All the hard work culminated in the first joyful moment since the accident. "Last weekend, I took my new bike on a long Saturday morning ride. My body was creaky and hurt a lot," he said. "But, I have never experienced such joy as when I was coasting down a hill with the wind on my face." While Jimmy may not be running yet, he continues to make progress every session. Thank you Jimmy for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

During this time, we are keenly focused on your safety while helping you feel better. Our center is open and here to serve those in need. The Department of Homeland Security and state governments have deemed physical therapy an essential component of health care during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
