Our Team
Nick Thilges, P.T., DPT
Nick has been a physical therapist with Select Physical Therapy since June 2021. Nick got his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and his doctorate of physical therapy from Creighton University. He has clinical experience with patients of all ages in the outpatient orthopedic and neurological settings, with a focus on returning patients to their prior level of function and achieving their goals in a timely fashion. Nick enjoys golfing, hanging out with friends and rooting for the Cyclones.
Jared Brostad, P.T., MPT
Jared is a senior staff physical therapist at our Ankeny North location. He has over 18 years of experience in a variety of settings, primarily in adult outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. He also has extensive experience in pre/post operative physical therapy and workers compensation cases with expertise in work conditioning programs and functional capacity evaluations. Jared completed his undergraduate degree from Buena Vista University and received his master's of physical therapy from the University of Iowa.
Janet Lebsack, OTR/L, CHT, CLT
Janet received her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from the University of North Dakota. Janet brings a high level of enthusiasm and genuine compassion to the patients in her care. She demonstrates a true passion working as a certified hand therapist/occupational therapist. She has been described as a very sensitive provider who lends emotional support while educating. Janet is committed to helping others learn their potential to engage in life, no matter the obstacles they face: physical, emotional or cognitive - occupational therapy can help!
Kip Hytrek, PTA, CSCS
Kip has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 2011, with over 11 years of clinical experience. He has worked exclusively as an outpatient clinician. Kip specializes in all orthopedic rehabilitation as well as sports rehabilitation. Kip completed his undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, his master's in education from Kansas University and his associates of applied science in physical therapy assistant from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He and his wife have two girls and enjoy spending time outdoors with their two dogs.
Stephanie Phillips, PTA, B.A.
Stephanie has been a member of the Select Physical Therapy team since 2022. She's treated various conditions in the outpatient settings, with a large interest in post-operative total knee replacements. She received an associate degree from Mercy College of Health Sciences and bachelor's degree from The University of Iowa.

Steven Hidder
Steven is an avid outdoorsman. After retirement, he spent his additional time walking, hiking and enjoying cabin stays. Steven would be the first to talk and do anything related to nature.
Knee pain, however, resulted in Steven needing three knee-related surgeries. The end result was bilateral knee replacements which required physical therapy.
The Select Physical Therapy team ?was there every step of the way for all of Steven's challenges. "They talked me through the hard parts and encouraged me to keep going," Steven said. "From pre-op consulting to pushing me through, they had empathy and taught me the importance of homework. I'm getting to where I can walk without pain."
