Our Team

Derek Loupin, P.T., MSPT, SCS, CDN

Derek is a physical therapist and the center manager at Select Physical Therapy in Bangor. He is a 2002 graduate of Husson University and board certified in sports physical therapy. He is also certified as a dry needling specialist. Derek works with local athletes of all skill levels, and has many years of general orthopaedic experience. He is the team physical therapist for the University of Maine and Husson University athletics, as well as John Bapst High School.

Saker Ghanayem, P.T., DPT

Saker is a physical therapist enrolled in our sports medicine residency program. He is a 2020 graduate of Husson University, earning a doctorate in physical therapy. Along with working at our outpatient center, Saker will be working with athletes at the high school and collegiate level. Saker enjoys working with patients of all ages and is committed to providing care of the highest quality.

Cheryl Adams, P.T., DSc, MHS, OCS

Cheryl is a physical therapist working part-time at Select Physical Therapy in Bangor. Cheryl is board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy and has practiced in the Bangor area for more than 30 years. Cheryl also teaches anatomy, orthopaedic and physical agent content at Husson University within the doctorate physical therapy program. Cheryl enjoys treating patients of all ages and, when not working with students or patients, can be found enjoying the Maine outdoors.

Kyrstyn Keating, M.Ed, ATC

Kyrstyn graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2018. Before joining the Select Physical Therapy staff, she served two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Maine, and received a master's degree in physical education and kinesiology. Kyrstyn serves as an assistant athletic trainer at Husson University and is the head athletic trainer for John Bapst Memorial High School.

Thomas Marshall, M.S., ATC

Thomas is the head athletic trainer at Bangor High School. He graduated from the University of New England in 2019, and East Stroudsburg University in 2020 with a master's degree in athletic training. Thomas also completed a graduate assistantship at Kutztown University.

Community

Our centers remain open to serve our patients in need of rehabilitation. We are taking extensive preventative measures, guided by the CDC, to protect our patients and employees who enter our centers.

For those who are unable to travel to our centers, we are offering physical and occupational therapy from the comfort and safety of your home through our telerehab program. Sessions are delivered one-on-one in real time and are private, secure and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
