Success Stories

Jamar Madge Jr.

Jamar Madge Jr. is just starting his professional basketball career, so when he injured his right shoulder his mom suggested he come see us. A recent college graduate, Jamar was looking forward to playing professional basketball in Finland or Germany, but his injury severely impacted his ability to play. Being right-handed, this partial tear was also affecting his daily life as the pain traveled down his arm. He couldn't do chores, brush his teeth with his right hand or even sleep on his right side. Since starting therapy with Occupational Therapist Roxann Larkins, Jamar has significantly improved. He has started playing basketball again with minimal pain and continues to work to play pain-free. Not only has he improved physically, but mentally as well. We're so happy we could help you on your way to play professionally, Jamar. Good luck!

Misty Cox

As an Olympic-style weightlifter and dental hygienist, Misty Cox uses her hands a lot. In fact, she developed carpal tunnel syndrome from overuse, which required surgery. Afterward, she turned to Occupational Therapist Hannah Osman to work on regaining strength in her hands and wrists. "My grip strength felt nonexistent, and lifting weights was completely out of the question," Misty said. "However, Hannah made me feel comfortable and more confident in my return to the activities I wanted to do." "Hannah has been absolutely amazing and a true God-send," Misty said. "I'm so glad I listened and sought her out, as she is a true [asset], not only to Select Physical Therapy but the OT community as a whole." Misty has continued to improve her grip strength and add more weight to her workouts. Your progress is inspiring, Misty. Thank you for trusting us with your care.
