Our Team

Kara Minnich, DPT

Kara earned a bachelor's degree in dietetics in 2007 from James Madison University and doctorate of physical therapy in 2016 from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been successful in treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions, particularly those involving the foot, ankle, neck and low back. She also has experience in providing rehabilitation for a variety of neurological conditions including stroke, concussion and vestibular and balance dysfunction. She also provides specialized treatment to patients who are undergoing and have undergone cancer treatment as part of the ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program.

Filomena Ariano, LPTA

Mena earned a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine in 2012 from Radford University and an associate’s degree in the physical therapist assistant program in 2015 from Northern Virginia Community College. She has pursued continuing education courses in concussion rehabilitation, therapeutic taping and principles of lower quadrant manual therapy. Mena is also LSVT BIG certified for Parkinson's disease treatment and a credentialed clinical instructor.

Danielle Leber, P.T., DPT, CKTP, CIDN

Danielle graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a minor in accounting from Campbell University where she swam for her NCAA Division I swim team. She then attended Wheeling Jesuit University where she received a doctorate of physical therapy. She returned to NOVA, where she grew up, and began treating a variety of patients with post-operative, personal injury, balance, neurological and orthopaedic injuries while continuing to be involved in swimming by coaching for local swim teams.

Julie Brody, M.S., OTR/L, CHT

Julie earned a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy in 1993 from Elizabethtown College and master's degree in occupational therapy in 2006 from Boston University. She became a certified hand therapist in 2008. She has lived and practiced in many states throughout the U.S. and is experienced in manual therapy techniques as well as static and dynamic orthosis design and fabrication. When not at work, Julie’s life is full with family activities with her husband and two young children. Julie currently treats patients in both the Burke and Springfield facilities.

Sue Pasterkiewicz, Patient Service Specialist

Sue has been with Select Physical Therapy for 14 years. Her goal is to greet every patient with a welcoming smile as they walk through our doors and to explain their insurance benefits to them. She is one of the trainers for the Northern VA community, training all new hires for the patient service specialist positions.

Courteney Griffin-Raczkiewicz, Patient Service Specialist

Courteney has been in the medical field for 14 years with an emphasis on customer service and insurance handling. She is happy to be a part of the Burke team, aims to please every patient, and enjoys crafting in her spare time.
