Our Team

Kimberly Walker, PTA

Kim is a physical therapist assistant with a background in orthopaedic outpatient rehabilitation and a specialization in sports rehabilitation. She is a graduate of George Mason University and NoVA. Kim is a former All-American and captain of thee NCAA runner-up soccer team at George Mason. She has used her experience and knowledge as a collegiate student-athlete to compliment her commitment and passion for sports as a springboard into a career as a rehabilitation specialist. She helps young athletes recover from their injuries to return to sports and encourages them to develop the proper skills to reduce the risks of injury without compromising performance. She has studied strain-counterstrain techniques and works with concussion patients to assist with their return to activity.

Kimberly Rodriquez, P.T., DPT

Kimberly earned a bachelor's degree in physical health and education/sports medicine in 2007 from the University of Virginia and doctorate in physical therapy in 2010 from Old Dominion University. Although she enjoys treating patients with a variety of diagnoses, her interests include sports medicine, total joint rehabilitation and spinal stabilization. Her background in personal training and passion for running inspires her philosophy of the importance of movement therapy and exercise in treatment. She is involved in the running program at the center where she uses biomechanical video analysis and performance enhancement through the dorsaVi system to help patients. Her continuing education background emphasizes Maitland techniques in manual therapy, joint mobilizations and spinal stabilization. She is trained in Kinesio taping and fits and fabricates orthotic inserts based on an individualized biomechanical analysis. She also works with concussion patients to assist with their return to activity.

Roberto Incer, MPT, M.Ed

Rob earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Virginia and master's degree in Kinesiology and exercise physiology from the University of Texas. After two years of assisting in the clinical management of of injured workers, he received a degree in physical therapy in 2000 from the University of Maryland-Baltimore and has maintained a presence in orthopaedic outpatient centers since. He attended post-graduate instruction in strain counterstrain techniques, dry needling and biomechanical assessment. He performs running assessment with the dorsaVi system and Fusionetic evaluations. He works with neurological conditions in treating Parkinson patients and post-stroke victims. He has been center director in Purcellville since 2003.

Barbara Starks, MSPT

Barbara earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and master's degree in physical therapy at Old Dominion University. As a physical therapist for more than 20 years, she enjoys working with a variety of diagnoses with an emphasis on the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Additionally, her focus is on shoulder injuries, TMJ and fibromyalgia. Her philosophy is the power of touch and the use of manual therapy. Her continuing education background has emphasized manual and mobilization techniques. She takes pleasure in working with patients during the process of rehabilitation from surgery or injury to maximal health and well-being.

Vanessa Schuster, P.T., DPT

Vanessa earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science and doctorate of physical therapy from Shenandoah University. Throughout her clinical experience, Vanessa has developed an interest in orthopaedics, pediatrics and chronic pain. Her interest in chronic pain and pain science have led her to attended several continuing education courses focused on reintegrating movement and graded exposure for all of her patients. When not at Select Physical therapy, Vanessa is an adjunct professor in the physical therapy program at Shenandoah.
