Our Team

Mark R. Takesue, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, Center Manager

Mark has vast experience in treating sports, spine and orthopedic injuries. Mark has been a Select team member since 2002. Mark completed a three-year sports medicine internship at UCLA working with the football, women's tennis/volleyball and track teams. Mark believes in giving the best quality patient care by individualizing treatment. Mark enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, collecting and investing in sports cards and spending time with family and friends.

Natalie McNally, P.T., DPT, OCS, COMT

Natalie has been a member of Select Physical Therapy for the past 11 years. Natalie received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Loyola Marymount in 2008 and doctorate of physical therapy from Southern California in 2011. Natalie developed a strong interest for the outpatient orthopedic population, is passionate about optimizing technique and emphasizing proper mechanics to be successful in treating and avoiding injury. In 2016, Natalie became a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist, and in 2020 achieved certification in orthopedic manual therapy. She is also certified in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques and blood flow restriction training. Natalie enjoys traveling the world, camping, relaxing at the beach and spending time with her husband and son.

Donna Anderson, P.T., DPT, COMT

Donna earned a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of South Florida, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences and bachelor's degree in gerontology from the University of South Florida. Donna believes in the importance of providing individualized treatment plans in order to address patients' specific impairments and personal goals. She completed orthopedic manual therapy certification in 2020. Donna is originally from the east coast and has been enjoying embracing the active west coast lifestyle with her husband, son and golden retriever.

Julieann Tsai, OTR/L, OTD, CHT, COMT-UE

Julieann has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 2015. She has extensive experience working in the outpatient hand setting. Julieann specializes in treating patients with hand/upper extremity injuries that may include repetitive strain injuries, sports injuries, tendon repairs and splinting. Julieann completed her undergraduate education at Chapman University and doctorate of occupational therapy from University of Southern California. She and her husband have one child and enjoy grilling, trying new recipes/foods and hanging out with their pet tortoise.

Alessia DiGennaro Kerner, OTR/L, CHT

Alessia has been a team member since 2019 and an occupational therapist since 1999. Alessia began practicing as an occupational therapist in inpatient rehabilitation. She decided to follow her passion and specialized in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation in 2001. She has experience treating a wide range of orthopedic and sports injuries, creating custom orthoses and using various manual therapy techniques. She is passionate about education, served on the Education Division of the American Society of Hand Therapist and taught courses locally and nationally. She serves as president for the Hand Therapy Society of Greater Orange County. Alessia enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, traveling, sewing, wood working and eating new foods.

Annie Ronning, M.A., ATC

Annie was born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Long Beach State University in 2018 and became a certified athletic trainer shortly after. She interned with several sports medicine programs, including Long Beach State University track and field, UCLA football and several community colleges. She earned a master's degree in sport management at San Jose State University, while working as a certified athletic trainer at Academy of Art University and Stanford University. She completed her thesis project on post-concussion syndrome and won an award for her presentation on cultural competency in athletic training. This presentation coincided with her internship at San Jose State's Institute for the Study of Sport, Society and Social Change, where she helped create a virtual conference during COVID-19.

Matthew Lemus, OTR/L, OTD, CEAS

Matthew joined the Select Physical Therapy team as an occupational therapist, specializing in the treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions such as arthropathies, repetitive stress injuries and orthopedic injuries. Matthew's interventions include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and activities, activity modifications, activity pacing and custom orthosis fabrication. Matthew earned an undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University in 2017 and doctorate degree from the University of Southern California in 2023. He also has a background in conducting ergonomic evaluations and is a certified ergonomic assessment specialist. Matthew was born and raised in southern California and enjoys spending time with family, baking, spending the day at the beach and playing with his chocolate Labrador retriever.

Fernando Salazar, P.T., DPT

Fernando was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. His clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, acute rehabilitation, sports therapy and aquatic therapy. Fernando is currently aiming to expand his knowledge set to better serve his patients by becoming a board-certified orthopedic specialist and a board-certified orthopedic manual therapist. When not in center, Fernando enjoys going to the gym, playing soccer, going on runs by the beach and has recently discovered a love for hiking since moving to California in 2023.
