Our Team

Kimberly Houston, P.T., DPT, center manager

Kim has been with Select Physical Therapy since 2023 and loves working with and treating a variety of patient cases. She is also the center manager at the center and helps to optimize advanced physical therapy care to the Aurora and greater Denver communities.

Kim is passionate about neurologic rehabilitation and focuses heavily on functional activity to achieve individualized goals. She works to provide a fun, safe and encouraging treatment environment as patients work toward regaining independence and enhanced mobility.

Sophie Giroux, P.T., DPT

Sophie was raised in Broomfield, Colorado, completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Colorado - Denver and her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She enjoys treating all patients, but specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy. When she's not in the center, you can find her skiing, hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Jonah Israel, PTA

Born and raised in Colorado to parents who are also both native Coloradans, Jonah developed a liking for competitive sports, track and field in particular, and had the pleasure of playing college football. Injuries halted his sports career, but those same injuries inspired his career in physical therapy. When not treating patients, Jonah enjoys reading, philosophical conversations and traveling.

Michelle Atkinson, P.T., DPT, COMT

Michelle has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 2012. She completed an undergraduate at Florida State and doctorate in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern in 2012. She enjoys treating all patients, but specializes in vestibular and concussion therapies. She received certification of orthopedic manual therapy in 2018. Michelle is married with three girls. She enjoys running, reading and spending time with family.

Nicole Platt, P.T., DPT

Nicole was raised in Bartlett, Illinois, and played competitive soccer for most of her life including her time at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She completed her doctorate in physical therapy at Clarke University in Dubuque. Nicole has a passion for vestibular and neurological therapy, but loves helping all patients find their normal again. In her free time, she loves to hike, play soccer, camp, lift weights and spend time with her loved ones.
