Our Team

Satinder Jowhal, P.T., CHT, COMT

Satinder is one of the clinicians at the Kendall Select location. Her experience and training has primarily been in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Satinder has experience in post-operative and general orthopedic injuries with an emphasis on treating upper extremity/hand conditions. She also has experience with custom splinting and is able to treat a variety of cases including fracture care, repetitive injuries, tendon/nerve damage, wounds and sports injuries.

Omar Marmol , P.T., DPT

Omar joined the Select outpatient team in 2012. He is trained as a physical therapist primarily in the outpatient setting. Omar has experience in post-operative and general orthopedic injuries, neuromuscular rehabilitation and has experience with all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations. He also performs employment testing for different companies in the supermarket, nursing and distribution fields.

Wanda Ortiz, PTA

Wanda graduated from University of Puerto Rico in 1979 with a physical therapist assistant degree. She worked in Puerto Rico for 13 years focusing in acute and home health care. Wanda then moved to Florida in 1993 with her two daughters looking for a better future. She has been working since then in several settings, including home health and outpatient physical therapy. Wanda carries an impressive 40+ years experience in the physical therapy field, bringing the passion and love everyday to help people with their injuries.

Success Stories

Keirstin Roose

Softball player Keirstin Roose injured her shoulder. She tore her labrum and rotator cuff, disrupting her season. Eventually, Kierstin had surgery to repair her labrum and two large rotator cuff tears. Post-operatively, she chose to do rehabilitation close to home. Physical Therapist Jorge Porter-Wolf crafted a program to address the basics and Keirstin's sport-specific needs. After a necessary slow start, she began to work on more advanced exercises that challenged her shoulder complex stability. Additionally, Jorge began incorporating sport-specific movements, such as throwing and swinging a bat, to ensure she was confident and competent in those motions. After a few months, Keirsten is on target for for getting back to the softball field. We are rooting for you, Keirsten. Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

Victoria Kendall

Victoria Kendall lives in the Dominican Republic. She came to Miami to have a benign tumor in her right armpit removed. During the surgery, she experienced damage to a nerve that runs down her arm. This nerve is responsible for sensation in the thumb, index and middle fingers. Victoria had no feeling in that area, so her doctor referred her to Select Physical Therapy for care. Victoria began working with Certified Hand Therapist Satinder Jowhal. In addition to exercises, Satinder created a custom splint for Victoria. She made impressive progress and can now continue healing at home in the Dominican Republic.
