Our Team

Ken Byrd , MPT, OCS, COMT, LAT, ATC, CSCS

Ken has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 2006, with 16 years of clinical experience. He has worked in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. Ken completed his undergraduate education at University of Florida and received a master's degree in physical therapy from University of Florida. He specializes in the treatment of orthopedics conditions, sports medicine and manual therapy. Additionally, he has certifications in Graston technique, blood flow restriction training, strength and conditioning and is a board-certified orthopedic specialist as well as a certified orthopedic manual therapist. Ken loves sports and spends his time with his wife and twin boys watching them play the sports they love.

Peter J. Canarela, P.T., DPT, OCS

Joe has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 2017, with 13 years of clinical experience. He has worked in the outpatient orthopedic and university education settings in his career. Joe completed his undergraduate education at Huntingdon College and received a doctorate of physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University. He specializes in the treatment of sports injury, concussions, vestibular therapy, and general orthopedics. Additionally, he is a certified specialist in orthopedics. Joe is a father to 1 son, Zachary, and spends most of his time with his wife at his son's baseball tournaments.

Ellen Jauncey, OTR/L, CHT, COMT UE

Ellen has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 1999, with 24 years of clinical experience. She has worked in a variety of settings before discovering her passion for Outpatient Orthopedics. Ellen completed her education at the University of South Alabama. She specializes in the treatment of hand, wrist and elbow orthopedic injuries, including traumatic injury, repetitive strain injury, chronic upper extremity pain and postoperative complications. She received her certified hand therapist certification in 2006, and her certified orthopedic manual therapist certification in 2018. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, participating in animal rescue and running in local races.

Zachary Hastings, B.S., PTA

Zac has been a member of Select Physical Therapy since 2010, with 12 years of clinical experience. He has worked in the outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine centers primarily in his physical therapy career. Zac completed his undergraduate education at University of West Florida and received an associates of physical therapy assistant from Pensacola State College. He specializes in the treatment of orthopedics, return to play for athletics and concussion rehabilitation. Additionally, he has certifications in soft tissue mobilization and blood flow restriction. Outside of physical therapy Zac enjoys weight lifting, as well as managing and promoting his band Stormfolk.
