Our Team

Cecilia Benton, P.T., DPT

Cecilia is a new addition to the team, but has been a practicing therapist for several years. Her primary focus is sports medicine and concussion rehabilitation, but she enjoys treating all orthopedic injuries and patients of all ages. She attended Cowley College and Friend's University for her undergraduate degree. She was member of the cross country and track and field teams. She was interested in physical therapy due to her love of athletics (dealing with sports injuries) and interest in the medical field. She is a volunteer coach for the University of Saint Mary's cross country and track teams. She enjoys running, walking her dog and spending time with her husband and son.

Julie Harrington, PTA

Julie received her physical therapy assistant degree from KCKCC in 2008. She joined the Select Medical team in 2017. She brings a positive and upbeat energy with a compassion to her care of patients. Julie has grown up in the Leavenworth/Lansing area, she has a love of the small town atmosphere and really getting to know her patients. Julie believes a positive environment plays a vital role in recovery. She is skilled in manual therapy and uses it to help patients achieve all their goals.

Sabine Harrell, OTR/L

Sabine grew up in Germany and she always knew that she wanted to help and work with people who suffered injuries get back to their daily lives. After high school, she started her education as a physical therapist in Germany. She practiced in a small outpatient center in Germany until she moved to the US in 2005. Here, she perused a master's degree in occupational therapy. Her main focus was stroke and neuro rehabilitation as well as orthopedic conditions in an inpatient setting for the first part of her career until she moved to KS/MO and joined the Select Physical Therapy team. She treats both surgical and non-surgical patients, post-operative recovery and offers splinting services for the upper extremity. In her spare time, Sabine enjoys riding horses, camping and woodworking with her husband.

Sunni Alford, OTD, OTR/L, CHT

Sunni is a Kansas native and grew up in Lansing, Kansas. She attended The University of Kansas for her undergraduate and post-professional doctorate degrees. Sunni has more than 34 years of experience as an occupational therapist. She also is currently a tenured associate professor in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at Rockhurst University. She loves teaching others about the amazing field of occupational therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation. Sunni enjoys anything outdoors, live music and traveling. She also loves sports and spending time with family.

Karlene Dudley, P.T., DPT, CMDT, ATC

Karlene graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training and her ATC credential. She received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2007.  She has had the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings by moving around the country with her husband, who is in the military. She started with Select Physical Therapy in Lawton, Oklahoma, in 2021, and feels fortunate to have found a great team at the Lansing clinic. Karlene has had the opportunity to perform functional capacity evaluations and become part of the Select's oncology rehabilitation team. Karlene is passionate about continuing to evolve and grow as a physical therapist and enjoys working with patients of all varieties. She incorporates various treatment techniques to customize specific programs tailored to her patients' individual needs and goals.
