Susan Bourlard was experiencing pain in her lower back and legs. After an X-ray didn't show any fractures, her primary care physician recommended physical therapy.

At 82, Susan remains busy with cooking and gardening, but her leg pain started to prevent her from her daily activities, making her feel sluggish.

After 10 visits, Susan noticed her discomfort had lessened and she was feeling better, stronger and more active. She could stand longer without pain, her productivity levels increased and her husband noticed how much better she was feeling.

Determined to continue her recovery, post-discharge, Susan has joined a gym and continues to do her at-home exercises, so she can stand for longer periods of time.

A wife, mother and grandmother, Christa McClendon loves socializing with her friends and family. When her right knee started to interfere with what she wanted to do, she knew it should be replaced. When sitting and working became difficult for Michael Cobb, he sought out physical therapy to help him get back to health. Years of working in aircraft maintenance led to a bulging disc, causing a burning sensation that radiated from his lower back to inside his legs, and occasionally, no sensation at all.
