Brian Calderwood

Brian Calderwood had extensive radiation treatment for melanoma on his chest. An unfortunate side effect was a burn that turned into a wound, limiting the use of his left arm. Brian could not enjoy golf or playing with his grandchildren like he used to. Having experienced cancer herself, Physical Therapist Amy Saye customized a ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation treatment program. She focused on reducing pain and regaining shoulder mobility and strength. Brian has been working diligently, both in-center and at home, to reach his physical therapy goals and return to the activities he loves. "I feel great right now," he said. "Amy has been fantastic to work with and does a good job of explaining why she has me do various stretches," he said. "The fact that she has been open about her experiences with cancer made me more comfortable." Brian continues to make progress and has returned to his hobbies.

Dave Bogart

Dave Bogart came to Select Physical Therapy after his left total knee replacement. Hardworking and determined, Dave was more than willing to put in the work to recover. Physical Therapist Araceli Madrigal tailored a treatment program to suit Dave's unique needs. She also gave him the feedback and empathy he needed to be successful. Dave has experienced gradual improvements in pain reduction and increased range of motion. Being able to walk pain free and without a limp were his primary goals. "My therapist Araceli takes really good care of me. She takes her time, doesn't try and rush you," he shared. "And, she listens and answers all my questions. The whole staff are nice and place are nice." We are glad to hear you had a great experience, Dave, and well on your way to reaching your goals. Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

Teresa Richards

Teresa Richards is a recent "graduate" from our local center who was recovering from a meniscus repair. She is now back to riding a recumbent bike and walking a mile while she transitions back into her normal exercise routine. Physical Therapist Araceli Madrigal had the pleasure of working with Teresa. She shared, "Teresa was a joy to work with. She was a hard-working patient who never turned down a challenge in therapy. It was a pleasure having her as a patient and being part of her recovery."

Barb Meirowsky

Barb Meirowsky was a patient at our Northwest center and recently "graduated" from physical therapy. She even brought in her cap and gown on graduation day. Barb was rehabilitating from a total knee replacement and is now able to cheer on the Chiefs and spend quality time with her family pain-free. Barb worked with Physical Therapist Araceli Madrigal. Araceli shared, "Barb was a determined and hardworking patient who was up for all the challenges I proposed to her throughout her PT journey. She is a wonderful example of a patient who worked hard and made the most of her total knee replacement recovery."
