All Services Success Stories

Patrick Woodworth

Being an electrical lineman is a dangerous job.

Patrick Woodworth, 35, was accidentally electrocuted, resulting in a bilateral amputation above the elbow. This resulted in extensive therapy marred with recovery barriers. For his right side, regular prosthetic training. For his left side, a myoelectric prosthetic, an artificial limb that uses electrical signals from muscles to control its movements. His particular situation and needs brought him to our center.

Here, he would triumph, meeting several milestones. He can dress himself in 10 minutes, down from an hour previously. He can cook and tie his shoes. Patrick has even started playing piano again. A fighter and an inspiration, Patrick is working hard to compile wins and get back to doing what he loves to do.
