Select Physical Therapy - Ashburn Hand Therapy, previously Northern Virginia Hand Therapy Center, is proud to offer patients advanced orthopedic upper extremity care. Restoring function, improving range of motion and increasing sensitivity are critical to hand therapy.
Our team of experienced clinicians design each treatment plan based on your physician's diagnosis and your specific needs. We work closely with your physician to provide a continuum of care, which often starts within days of the injury or surgery until your return to a productive lifestyle.

Soraya Martinez, OTR/L, OTD, CLT
Soraya brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients she treats. She is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. Soraya has been a practicing clinician since 2022, with focus in upper extremity, and special interest in hand therapy, lymphedema therapy, and cancer rehabilitation. Soraya, who is originally from Florida, enjoys treating patients of all kinds, and has a passion for promoting overall quality of life.
Lauren Holland, O.T.
Lauren is a newly certified occupational therapist with a background in emergency medical services, trauma-informed care and wildlife rehabilitation. She was born and raised in central Texas. Her clinical training includes experience in multiple level I trauma centers, including a level IV neonatal intensive care unit and outpatient hand therapy under the mentorship of several certified hand therapists. She is dedicated to helping patients build confidence and return to the activities that matter most in their daily lives.
Stefanie Berrier, O.T.
Stefanie is an enthusiastic and personable therapist who makes therapy engaging and fun. She is passionate about hand therapy and empowering patients to feel confident and in control of their therapeutic journey. She graduated from the University of New England in 2023 with a master's degree in occupational therapy. Stefanie grew up in Burke, VA and loves animals, anime, crochet and all things nerdy.
Luke Makowski
Luke Makowski received care at our center to gear up for the culmination of his track season. As a sprinter and shot-putter, Luke needed to recover from his surgery so he could participate in the regional championships. He got to work with our seasoned occupational therapist. She was there every step of the way pushing Luke to ensure he had the strength, dexterity and mobility to compete at a high level. "My track season was saved because of your help and I'm so thankful that you helped me through all the hardships after surgery," Luke Makowski shared with our clinical team. He did participate and more. While Luke missed out on the state competition by a slim margin, he was able to achieve a personal record.
