All Services Success Stories

Kate Baca

As an expectant mother, Kate Baca began experiencing diastasis recti. This is a condition where the abdominal muscles separate during pregnancy after being stretched. After giving birth, Kate struggled to sit up, get up from the floor and twist. The physical limitations were not ideal for the new mom. Having been a patient in the past, Kate knew she needed to come see us. Kate's goals were simple: hold her baby and be the mom she wished to be without this issue slowing her down. Soon Kate reached milestones. She began sitting up in bed without a handrail. She was able to play with her baby on the floor with ease. "I'm feeling happy and grateful for my recovery so far," Kate shared. "I'm excited to get back on my feet and be active with family."

Small group therapy also can be helpful for some children to build social skills and communication. Additional Specialized programs, such as feeding therapy, sensory/emotional regulation, toe-walking and torticollis, are also available.
