    One of the most devastating injuries in sports today is the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. The anterior cruciate ligament is one of the four main ligaments of the knee and most injuries, or tears, are a result of landing or planting in cutting or pivoting sports (football, soccer, etc.), with or without contact.

    Why is it important?

    There are more than 200,000 ACL injuries in youth athletics in the U.S. annually. More than 70 percent of these injuries are non-contact and largely preventable.
