Our Team

Beth Johnson, P.T., DPT

Beth is Southern California born and raised, originally from San Bernardino. She graduated from the University of California San Diego with her bachelor's degree in physiology and neuroscience. She then graduated from the University of St. Augustine for health sciences with high honors and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. One of the reasons Beth became a physical therapist was because she was drawn to the ideology that one could help people heal and feel better through non-invasive techniques and exercise. Another reason Beth was drawn to the profession was the opportunity to get to know people and hear their life stories and life lessons. When not working Beth loves to do anything active; she enjoys weight training at the gym, hanging out with her husband Jake and hiking with their white husky shepherd Kenai (pronounced Keen-eye).

Phu Ong, P.T., DPT

Phu graduated Magna Cum Laude from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2016 and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 from California State University Long Beach. Phu is from Vietnam originally but has lived in San Diego since 2012. Phu likes to help patients with orthopedic conditions and patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions. She has taken two specialty courses for Pelvic Floor conditions and is continuing to pursue more courses to become certified as a Pelvic Floor Specialist. She treats both females and males for various pelvic floor conditions. In her free time Phu enjoys hiking, traveling, reading and trying new foods and drinks from various cuisines.

Mary von Kluegl, COTA/L

Mary is a licensed certified occupational therapy assistant and San Diego native. Mary has always had a passion for health, fitness and helping people. When she learned about occupational therapy she knew it was her calling and found her passion for hand therapy while working with the occupational therapy team at Select Physical Therapy. Mary attended Grossmont College where she graduated with honors and passed her Boards exam in 2023. She has worked for Select Physical Therapy since 2019, starting as a rehab aide and office assistant she is now part of the hand therapy team. She uses a holistic approach to care, treating the whole person with respect and dignity. She is a mother of three adult children and has two grandchildren. Some of her hobbies include; hiking, camping, weightlifting and spending time with family.
