Tom graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Pines City Educational Center in the Philippines. He completed residencies in orthopedic manual physical therapy, and scientific therapeutic exercise progressions leading to a doctorate in physical therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute. He is credentialed in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine and extremities from the McKenzie Institute, USA McKenzie. He is also trained in multiple manual therapy techniques including Mulligan mobilization techniques, strain and counter strain and primal reflex release technique, an inhibitory technique to decrease pain. He is the author and developer of Martial Arts against Neurologic Diseases (M.A.N. Up), a copyrighted exercise program using principles of Tae Kwon Do, Philippine Kali and Israeli Krav Maga for the rehabilitation of Parkinson's disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis and select orthopedic conditions. Tom also performs treatments for the temporomandibular joint and vestibular rehabilitation.
